What will you do as an Assistant Accountant?

Assist with month-end close, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
Reconcile bank, credit card, and control accounts
Assist with management accounts and reporting packs
Support cash flow forecasting and budget monitoring
Oversee purchase and sales ledger processes where needed
Help improve internal financial controls and procedures
Manage a small finance team

What do you need as an Assistant Accountant?

AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA (support may be offered)
Solid knowledge of accounting principles and transactional finance
Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, basic reporting)
Proactive, hands-on, and adaptable — SME mindset essential!
